Carbonaceous impurities in carbon nanotubes are responsible for accelerated electrochemistry of acetaminophen
- Lu Wang, Adriano Ambrosi, Martin Pumera*
We show here that previous claims in the literature about the enhanced electrochemical properties of carbon nanotubes towards the electrochemistry of acetaminophen are incorrect. The observed electrochemical properties are in fact due to the carbonaceous impurities present within the carbon nanotubes. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
